The new book will be called Swap in Canada and Let It Ride in the USA.
This is what the Canadian cover will look like:
I like it, it's really starting to look like a series. Well, in Canada, anyway.
Swap comes out in Canada in September (should be right around the time the epsiode of The Bridge that I wrote will be shown) and Let It Ride will be out in the USA in early 2010.
The artwork for the USA edition should be ready in about a month.

I'm glad I only have to wait until September for Swap. I'd hate waiting those extra couple of months.
As for the title, Let It Ride, I prefer Swap. It just rolls of the tongue better. I also prefer shorter titles.
Either way, it'll be brilliant and I love the cover.
In case, you don't return to my blog:
What if the series takes off, and someone, let's say like a Michael J. Fox or the actor playing Sheldon on Big Bang, is a comet. The show is only succeeding because of his/her presence. Wouldn't he probably begin to get the best lines? Wouldn't he begin to command a bit more "hand" than the blander cast members?
I'm curious, why different titles for different territories? Is the 'simple' answer that ECW had already prepped -- or, pressed? -- the SWAP treatment, and didn't want to change it? Or perhaps LET IT RIDE seemed too literal when considered in conjunction with the (admittedly cool) photo on the SWAP treatment?
Wow. Does all this leave you any time for camping?
I myself am planning a solo road trip to New Brunswick. But I don't have a series to write.....
That's funny, I was just looking up campsites online. I should have some time at the end of August - this working for a living can really suck at times ;)
As for the title, I think ECW just liked Swap better and St. Martins liked Let It Ride more.
I take comfort knowing that this happens to Giles Blunt and Louise Penny, too, and I hope that someday I'll see even weirder titles in translation.
Can't wait.
Very cool cover, John. Congrats. Can't wait to read it.
John,
Sweet cover. I can't wait to read it.
May you sell many copies under both titles!
