This Week's Bridge

Friday at 10:00 on CTV:

In this trailer you get a couple of quick shots of the fantastic main set, the union HQ.

And a hint of the complications that will ensue, of course.

Nice review in the Globe and Mail. You're a premier Canadian crime writer. Go, John!

Well, it's nice to see the trailer, anyway.

Thanks Patti. A little while ago there'd be a joke to be made about "Canadian crime writer," but with Peter Robinson, Louise Penny, Giles Blunt, Linwood Barclay and so many more it's now certainly the kind of company I don't belong with.

And Seana, there's a rumour of an airing on CBS in July. We'll see....

Hi John, We watched the pilot episode of The Bridge last night. We were impressed. Lots of plot and twists and turns already. Looked for your name on the credits but was disappointed. Hope the show is a success.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for a U.S. airing. July would actually be good, I think, because it's kind of the dog days for television drama and people will be looking for something to check out...

Patty, the two-hour pilot was already made before the rest of the writers were hired. I think this week's episode lists us as "Story Editor," or something like that.

Next week's episode will list me and Dannis Koromilas as the co-writers.

That's such a coincidence! My friends call me James F. Collins too! I don't know why--I've kind of been afraid to ask. I wonder if this is some sort of new social convention that I've been left out of the loop on...
